Bridal Beauty Secrets

Here are some of my favorite tips for every bride to be picture perfect on her wedding day.

1.Drink plenty of water to help hydrate the skin.

2. Exfoliate your face, neck, and lips. This will give you a good canvas to start with, and eliminates any dry, flaky skin that could be picked up and magnified in HD photos.

3. Use a primer for your foundation and your eyeshadow. A primer acts as a barrier between your skin and your foundation, giving it longevity. The primer helps give “teeth” to your foundation so it stays put for hours.

4. Eye shadows that look best in HD are matte colors – browns, tans, beige all photograph well. Avoid using any mauve or burgundy colors as red-based shadows do not photograph well.

5. Concealer should be one to two shades lighter than your foundation color. Concealer that is too light will be magnified in HD and give you  “raccoon” looking eyes in your pictures.

6.Remember to use a waterproof mascara and eyeliner.

7. Blush should be pink or somewhere in the pink family for light skin tones. Blush should never be peachy or orange as this is not a natural look. Blush is a very limited range of crimson and you want to apply to the sides of your cheekbones in an upward sweeping manner.

8. Apply lip color first, then lip liner. If using a bright red or darker lip color, line the lips first, then blend inward and apply lipstick on top.

9. Use powder to set the foundation but not alot – too much powder can give skin a dry look.

10. For extra intensity, try lining the rim of the eyes to add depth without the harshness that can happen from eyeliner on top.
